8 Ways to Build an Extending Mechanism with Lego
Hi everyone,
you need some kind of extending mechanism almost everywhere when using Lego. But often that's not really trivial, a gear rack doesn't always fit, or a screw isn't strong enough. Here's a collection of 8 useful and less useful ways to build one of these.
Enjoy watching and bricking,
2in1

A Monowheel ... Without a Wheel | Lego Technic
Переглядів 13 тис.4 місяці тому
Hi, this video is a small application of the amoeba wheel I've showcased a few weeks ago ( ua-cam.com/video/Geu_kDHcrLM/v-deo.html ). Basically, this is a linkage that moves forward just by changing its shape. Thanks a lot to the Poly Bridge discord community and especially @ArglinPB for the help getting all these amoeba wheel variations to work :) Enjoy watching, 2in1 Links: First Amoeba Video...
Every LEGO Gear Ratio is Possible
Переглядів 53 тис.4 місяці тому
Hi everyone, when designing a model, you often need a specific gear ratio. Most of the time, that's pretty easy: just throw together a few gears and that's it. But actually, there are prime-numbered gear ratios that you simply can't get with normal gear ratios. In this video, I'll try to explain how :) Enjoy watching, 2in1 Links: Tutorials (2nd channel): ua-cam.com/video/ke_MnrZQdGo/v-deo.html ...
How Slow can LEGO go? | Comparisons
Переглядів 58 тис.4 місяці тому
Hi everyone, I've seen a lot of videos about making a car as fast as possible, but barely any about making it slow (for a good reason). If you just want to know how to get more torque, I'm showing some designs, but I had a lot of fun (inspired by the one and only Randall Munroe) driving this to the theoretical minimum and searching for comparisons along the way. I hope you enjoy that different ...

Hi everyone, one of the most useful mechanisms for many Lego applications are so-called reciprocation mechanisms or pistons. There are a lot of ways to do that, so here are 7 additonal mechanisms to the first video I've published quite a while ago ( ua-cam.com/video/T03M15mhh60/v-deo.html ). Reinventing the Wheel with Lego

Hi, a while ago, I've seen @ArglinPB 's video about chebishev amoeba wheels, and thought that should definitely possible in Lego. And as it turns out, there is actually some pretty recent research about that, and I'm pretty happy about how the proof of concept turned out! Enjoy watching, 2in1 FAQ: Check out Arglin's pinned comment, it's explained much better than I ever could Resources/Credits:...

Solving all Traffic Problems with LEGO Technic

Hi everyone, have you ever wished you could skip the traffic jam? With 2in1Car™ you can do that. On a more serious note, this might not be immediately that "useful", but is a pretty neat application of offset scissors combined with omniwheels, redirecting the linear actuator motion to a wheel extension, while the wheels stay in parallel. Worm gear moves to other gear, there is 1:-1 ratio so it moving backwards on -1 gear is -1 * -1 = 1 but 1*1 also equals one

(no offense) man you think torque Is more important than speed? ... Read more Explanation: I saw a video that if he makes 5:1 Gear ratio the torque Is increased and speed decreased And if he switch into 1:5 Gear ratio the torque reduced and the speed Is 5 times faster

    • @in1
      @in1 10 днів тому

You'll have to find the right gear ratio for the sweet spot between torque and speed. Too much torque means, for example, that your car is slow, but too much speed means your car is accelerating slowly, or can't drive up a hill. That's why gearboxes exist
